Welcome to Buc-ee’s! Nana didn’t forget about the monthly Buc-ee merch update from February. As usual, I went to the Daytona Buc-ee’s.
Daytona Buc-ee’s Merchandise Update
If you couldn’t catch Buc-ee meet and greet, you can still meet his statue.
Infant Toy Collection
Make your kid a “Beaver Believer”! Jokes aside, I got some of these toys for my best friend’s baby who lives in California. I usually buy baby stuff from Disney whenever my friends have babies, but since she lives in California, she can go to Disney anytime! So for those reasons, Buc-ee’s comes in handy!
4 piece finger puppets – $9.99
This four-pack of finger puppets features Buc-ee himself wearing red, pink, blue, and yellow.
My 1st Buc-ee – $14.99
Every kid has to have their first Buc-ee, and this one comes attached to a small, soft blanket. “My First Buc-ee” is embroidered in white along with the gas station’s icon.
On-The-Go Activity Book -$12.99
This plush activity book features Buc-ee’s face and body as the front and back covers. A red strap is attached for taking it on the go.
Toddler Activity Blanket – $9.99
This plush activity blanket features four corners of different patterns and colors all sewn together. A plush beaver tail is attached at the top left, with a Buc-ee medallion hanging from a ribbon on the bottom left. More red, blue, and yellow ribbons line the right side. Peace, love, Buc-ee’s!
Hot Rod Truck T-shirt – $17.98
February in Florida means, the Daytona 500! They had this racing-inspired T-shirt. On the front is Buc-ee wearing a green hat with the number “82” off to the right. On the back is “BUC-EE’S” in all capitals with green flames and a vintage red truck, once again with “82” and “Pit Stop” in white script. The first-ever Buc-ee’s opened in Lake Jackson, Texas in 1982.
It’s interesting to see Buc-ee wearing a green cap instead of his usual red cap.
Pool and Beach Accessories Collection
It is still early in the year, but Florida summer is around the corner… RIGHT? Let’s get ready for beach season!
Beach Ball -$3.98
This beach ball is red and yellow with an overlapping pattern of Buc-ee icons. It’s recommended for ages 2 and up, and measures 24 inches (or 61 centimeters) when fully inflated.
4-In-1 Pool Hammock – $14.98
Chill out in the pool with this four-in-one pool hammock. It can be used as a lounge, a chair, a drifter, or an exercise saddle. It is recommended for ages 15 and up, and is 44 inches in length (112 centimeters).
Water Saddle – $12.99
This inflatable water saddle looks just like Buc-ee, and offers a wide back for support. It’s recommended for ages 5 and up, and measures 32.5 inches (82 centimeters).
Inflatable Luxury Noodle Chair – $12.98
This inflatable noodle chair has the same wave-like pattern as the pool hammock. Though it is inflatable, it has a soft fabric cover. The chair is recommended for ages 15 and up and measures 30 inches (76 centimeters) when inflated.
Bodyboard – $11.89
Catch a tiny wave or two with this Buc-ee bodyboard. It’s a bright sea foam green with the Buc-ee’s icon in the center.
Youth Swimming Goggles – $9.99
I know it’s for kids, but I want a pair… These goggles are yellow with red straps. Buc-ee is featured in a repeating pattern all over. They also claim to be leak-proof!
Swim Diaper (13-18 lbs/ 6 months) – $7.99
Even the tiniest swimmers can rep Buc-ee with this purple swim diaper.
Sand Anchor -$6.99
Keep your beach umbrella where it belongs… in the sand, thanks to this twistable sand anchor. Of course, it’s red and has the Buc-ee’s icon on one side.
Wave Cropped Tie-Dye T-Shirt – Adult $14.98, Youth $12.98
These matching youth and adult tie-dye crop tops are perfect for a beach trip. Both shirts are black and gray tie-dye, with an illustration of waves and palm tree-laden islands. Buc-ee is represented as the bright orange sun in the sky, with “Buc-ee’s Vibes” in orange at the bottom.
Tiki Cropped T-shirt – $14.98
This blue cropped tee features more of a tiki vibe, with Buc-ee featured alongside Polynesian pop-style art.
Tiki 24-Can Soft Cooler – $19.99
The tiki keeps on going with this soft cooler, which can hold up to 24 cans of frosty beverages. The tiki pattern is all over the bag, with the Buc-ee’s icon and logo embroidered on the front panel, just below the zippered pocket.
I love the design and color, but how many coolers do I need? I bought a BIG one when Buc-ee’s first opened… Also, where do I bring the cooler? To Disney? To the office? Oh, to Blizzard Beach!
Squishy Stress Toy – $7.99
This is my favorite find of the day. These cup-shaped stress toys come in multiple colors — red, orange, blue, green, and white. I should have bought them for Tom and Eric.
Buc-ee’s Treat Reviews
Now we are moving on to Nana’s Review: Buc-ee’s Edition. I had friends visiting, so I bought the all flavors I could find.
Beaver Freezer – $1.99
This is not the first time I’ve bought these. When the Daytona Beach Buc-ee’s first opened, they had a pineapple flavor. That was my FAVORITE flavor, but they discontinued it and it’s no longer available at the Daytona or St. Augustine locations.
Strawberry Mango Beaver Freezer
This is refreshing, but not too tart. I am slightly allergic to Mango, so I couldn’t dig deeper.
Rank out of 7: 4
Strawberry Beaver Freezer
I think this is much better than the “Outshine” frozen fruit bars you can get at Walt Disney World. This one tastes like it has more natural flavor and less sugar.
Rank out of 7: 4
Blueberry Cheesecake Beaver Freezer
This one is the best of the best. It’s not too sweet, but definitely on point!! You guys know Nana loves cheesecake (without the crust) and Nana loves this too.
I usually don’t like extra stuff in my cheesecake, but the blueberry part here didn’t bother me and I found it quite refreshing.
Rank out of 7: 7 (but we’d rate it 100/7 if we could)
Chocolate Beaver Freezer
This is a really light chocolate popsicle. It’s not overly heavy or rich like chocolate ice cream and not too sweet. I would come back and get the chocolate and blueberry cheesecake options again.
Rank out of 7: 6
Cookie Icecream Sandwich – $3.28
Double Chocolate Cookie
Yeet! I don’t know why, but Buc-ee’s chocolate flavor is good. (Nana’s Grandma never gave Nana chocolate when she was a kid, the first time Nana tried chocolate was in 5th grade.)
I don’t eat chocolate regularly and the only chocolate I do eat is cacao 75% and higher. So I’m not a big fan of sweet or milk chocolate. But this chocolate cookie wasn’t too sweet. The vanilla ice cream gives it the right amount of sweetness.
Rank out of 7: 7
Sugar Cookie Strawberry
The sugar cookie was soft, but combined with the ice cream, it was too sweet and made my teeth hurt. Also, the package was hard to open, and my cookie cracked while trying to unwrap it.
Rank out of 7: 4
Sugar Cookie Salted Caramel
This sugar cookie was a little bit harder than the strawberry one and I didn’t taste much salted caramel. This could have more flavor added to it.
Rank out of 7: 3
Chocolate chip Cookie
Chocolate chip cookies can’t go wrong most of the time. This cookie was nice and moist and tasted like a homemade chocolate chip cookie. The vanilla ice cream was not too sweet but went well with the chocolate chips.
Rank out of 7: 6
Overall Thoughts
Nana’s recommendations are Blueberry Cheesecake Beaver Freezer and Double Chocolate Cookie. You definitely won’t go wrong trying these two. But they melt REALLY quickly, so eat them quick!
I wish Buc-ee’s would bring back their cheesecake. They used to sell them by the slice or as a whole cake (though their cheesecake did come with crust).
Well, I guess this is it for my Buc-ee’s report for February. See you again soon!
