Disney has announced the location for the new “Coco” attraction at Disney California Adventure.

The ride themed to “Coco” will be built near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier, in areas that are predominantly backstage today. Construction on this attraction is set to begin backstage this fall.

Though an exact location was not noted, the concept art shows the attraction seemingly in place of the current parade gate at Pixar Pier. While construction is set to begin backstage, this location could indicate changes to upcoming entertainment, such as the Frightfully Fun Parade or Viva Navidad.

The first-ever “Coco” ride was announced at 2024’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California. Guests will follow Miguel into the Land of the Dead. The ride will feature animatronic figures of some of the skeletal characters.
