In a recent publication from Meyer Werft, the shipyard tasked with building the next several Disney Cruise Line ships, a total of five new ships have all received hull numbers along with their expected completion dates.

Hull Numbers for Disney Cruise Ships

Meyer Werft Shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, recently released an updated list of all the new Disney Cruise Line ships currently under construction. The list assigns several of the upcoming projects hull numbers for the first time. Hull numbers, listed as Yard Number on the publication, help identify each ship being built. With several of the ships getting numbers for the first time, it implies that construction work on these next several ships is likely to begin soon, or at least pick up speed for those already begun.
Since building a new cruise ship is a multi-year process, the list currently includes dates all the way through delivery in 2031.

The list includes several already-announced ships, such as the upcoming Disney Destiny that is expected to set out on its maiden voyage on November 20, 2025. The Disney Destiny was just recently set afloat for the first time, as shared in pictures from the shipyard. The upcoming Disney Adventure, which was originally named the Global Dream before being purchased by Disney Cruise Line in 2022, will also have its maiden voyage out of Singapore on December 15, 2025
The new numbers are all related to upcoming projects, ranging from 2027 to 2031. The list includes the numbers 722, 723, 731, 732, and 733. First, the number 723 has the nearest delivery date of 2027 and is categorized along with the Disney Destiny and Treasure as being under the Wish class size of ships. Meanwhile, the number 722 is assigned to the upcoming ship for the Oriental Land Company, which is expected to be delivered in 2028 and begin operation sometime in 2029.

The other three numbers are all listed under Disney Cruise Line, but are placed in a different section because they are all part of the new class of ships that is expected to be smaller than the Wish class. While not given an official name yet, this new class will be 20% larger than the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, but smaller than the Dream and Wish classes. These will also be upgraded with the technology to run on a variety of fuels, include a battery system to support the main engines, and feature a streamlined hull. The first of these three ships, numbered 731, is expected to be delivered in 2029. The other two numbers, 732 and 733, are expected to be delivered in 2030 and 2031, respectively.
Assuming that Disney Cruise Line does not retire the Magic & Wonder ships, all of these announced additions will bring the total number of vessels to 13 by the end of 2031. Apart from the Disney Destiny and Disney Adventure, all of the other upcoming ships have not yet had their names or additional details announced yet.

Disney has already announced that the Disney Adventure will feature a new Captain Jack Sparrow show, the Marvel Style Studio, a Disney Princess afternoon tea, and a version of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. More recently, the Disney Cruise Line shared a first look at the cover art for an exclusive original Marvel comic for the ship. For fans of Duffy, the Disney Adventure will include a Duffy and Friends deck show, meet and greet, and store. A short video clip from Disney Cruise Line Singapore included the first images of some of the new Duffy merchandise.
Meanwhile, Disney has also shared more details regarding the upcomg Disney Destiny. The ship will include several nods to “Hercules,” including a Broadway-style stage show with Hydra and Titan puppets, as well as the “Hercules”-inspired Cafe Megara. A Black Panther statue will be displayed in the Grand Hall. During a media preview of some of the stateroom decor, Disney revealed art and furnishings inspired by “Mulan,” “Brave,” “Hercules,” “The Incredibles,” “Big Hero 6,” and more.
