Review

Birria Beef Walking Taco – $14.99

Birria beef with TOSTITOS Sabritas Salsa Verde, red onions, scallions, and consommé

A hand holds a bag of Tostitos Salsa Verde tortilla chips, a true cat lady food labeled "The Walking Taco.

The salsa verde seasoning on the chips throws off the flavor profile. The Birria beef isn’t bad, but it was formed into a giant clump that required work to break it up.

An open bag of potato chips filled with shredded beef and onions—classic Cat Lady Food on a speckled countertop.

This fell short of the lazy guilty pleasure of a walking taco. The dish as a whole didn’t feel quite right, and it would be a little hard to eat on the go.

Flamin’ Hot Birria Ramen – $15.99

Tender birria beef on ramen noodles in a Flamin’ Hot birria consommé broth with shaved onions, scallions, and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos

This was weirdly good. The spicy broth and Cheetos are great together, despite how that sounds on paper. While the noodles taste like instant noodles, this dish was enjoyed by all members of the WDWNT team. A shareable hit, even for lonely cat ladies.

Fritos Vegan Walking Taco – $14.99

Vegan chorizo crumble with Fritos, salsa verde, and cilantro

A hand holds a yellow bag of Fritos Scoops labeled "Cat Lady Food: The Walking Taco" against a dark background.

This was terrible. The chorizo and salsa were both refrigerator cold, and we’re pretty sure that wasn’t intended.

An open Cat Lady Food snack bag filled with chips, fresh cilantro, onions, and sauce on a speckled countertop.

The chorizo was also pretty sparse, as very little of it was detected in our bag. Just get some Fritos or actual cat food. They will both be better, and you will have extra dollars in your pocket.

Berry Scary – $14 for 12 oz. single serving

360 Vodka Red Raspberry, blackberry syrup, and lemonade

A clear plastic cup filled with pink iced Cat Lady Food drink sits on a speckled countertop.

The berry flavor is pretty powerful here, and if we had to guess, it’s the elusive chemical berry. Jokes aside, the berry flavor of the drink isn’t off by much, but subtle changes matter. The changes with this drink pushed it too far in the wrong direction. The drink also looks nothing like the advertisement.

Sour Puss – $14 for 12 oz. single serving

Four Roses Yellow Label bourbon, blackberry syrup, and lemonade

A plastic cup filled with pink Cat Lady Food iced beverage sits on a light-colored speckled countertop.

This might be the best cocktail we have had at HHN 2025. There is good balance of flavors, and we could actually taste the bourbon. The other flavors worked with it instead of trying to overpower it.
