Star Wars: Starfighter director Shawn Levy shared a first look at the new film starring Ryan Gosling.

“Somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea,” Levy wrote with #Starfighter on Instagram. The photo features Gosling and newcomer Flynn Gray leaning against handlebars on some kind of boat.
Lucasfilm previously released a picture of Gosling and Gray with a landspeeder when production began.
The cast also includes Amy Adams, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings, Matt Smith, and Mia Goth.
The film is set five years after The Rise of Skywalker, which was the last Star Wars film released in theaters in 2019. The screenplay is by Jonathan Tropper (The Adam Project). It’s release date is May 28, 2027, a year after The Mandalorian and Grogu is released in theaters.
